Audrey's Story

In the late summer of 2023, Audrey was separated from his Mom. We found him hiding under a pile of leaves, and he immediately stole our hearts.

He required a very specialized and costly diet to prevent metabolic bone disease (MBD). He had two cat wheels, three cat trees, a ceiling-mounted cat walk, and free reign over the house.

His most active hours were 12:00 to 06:00. He would climb into the bed and visit with me and my husband, covering our faces with drool as he slubbed us. He would sit quietly and contemplate the universe. If we were not in the bedroom, he would come find us.

He passed away in December 2024 of congestive heart failure (CHF is sadly common in male opossums), and though the pain of his loss is ineffable, the lessons he taught us have enriched our lives exponentially. What a treasure, an actual angel on earth. I have never loved an animal as much as I love Audrey.

He has inspired me to chase my dreams, because life is fleeting. It's what you make of it that counts.

I’ve combined my love for all things opossum with my passion for cute trinkets, stickers, and accessories. Through these wildlife-inspired gifts (especially opossum treasures!) I hope to spark curiosity and maybe even change a few minds about these often misunderstood little creatures.
